Tristano17

final

Listen to
Tristano 17

This song started out as a remake of
Turkish Mambo by Lennie Tristano then it evolved in something completely different except for the simultaneous use of loops based on the first prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7).
The title alludes to what Lennie Tristano could have achieved with today's technology. Turkish Mambo was one of the first experiments in jazz (1954-55) with overdubbing piano parts.

Sound sources include Apple Logic Pro X's
virtual synths (Vintage Electric Piano, Vintage B3 Organ and Vintage Clavinet), Spectrasonics Trilian, Kurzweil PC3x and a funky pop drum loop.

The PC3x is a new entry that I bartered for my previous digital piano: a
Kawai MP7.
