This is my third arrangement for Continuum fingerboard and virtual orchestra of a piece by Satie I have done.
The other two are Gymnopédie 1 and Gymnopédie 3.
Here I use a slightly different technique than the one used on my previous pieces: I alternate between sliding from one note to the next one and using different fingers for adjacent notes.
I think Satie would have enjoyed my version of this piece. He wrote all those acciaccaturas (see example) for the piano because on that instrument you can not slide from one note to another but I guess that is what he had in mind. Now with the Continuum we can!
